Immersed in the green, the B&B Turtle Island is only a few kilometres from the most beautiful beaches of Ragusa coast and from fascinating and cultural places: Casuzze and Punta Secca (2 Km.), the famous village of “Montalbano” TV series, Torre di Mezzo (3 Km.), Punta Braccetto (4 Km.), Marina di Ragusa (5 Km.) with its pretty marina not to mention Ragusa Ibla (24 Km.), Modica (38 Km.) and Scicli (22 Km.), three precious baroque “pearls” which have become famous thanks to the worldwide known “Montalbano” TV series. And also the archaeological digs of Kaucana (3 Km.), Kamarina (14 Km.) and the beautiful Donnafugata Castle with its history, its wonderful garden full of centuries-old breathtaking trees and its maze.
If, to all these wonderful places, you add the pleasure to try the dishes of the typical local cuisine, made of “scacce”, “teste di turco”, “arancini”, “’mpanate”, “provole”, “mozzarelle”, “caciocavallo dop” and also desserts like “cannoli” with “ricotta”, cheese, chocolate of Modica, almond paste not to mention the delicious “granite” of lemon, almond, pear and chocolate, peach, coffee and cream, the picture is almost complete. The calmness and the silence, which Turtle Island is full of, are incomparable.
